The District Court of the Ponca Tribe holds court sessions three times a month, or as scheduled by the presiding District Court Judge.
This Court hears Criminal, Civil and Juvenile/Child Support cases respectively on their scheduled court docket.
This Court can only hear criminal and civil cases arising within the territorial jurisdiction of the Ponca Tribe.
Dockets for all court hearings are placed throughout the Ponca Tribal Complex and in the lobby of the courtroom.
The Court clerk is NOT permitted under ethic codes and court rules to do the following:
- Provide legal advice
- Interpret court rules
- Help prepare arguments
- Type pleadings
Please do not ask the court clerk to provide any of the services listed above. You should consult or retain an attorney for assistance or any questions pertaining to legal procedures, filings, petitions or pleadings.
The court clerk can do the following:
- Provide forms for petitions and pleadings
- Answer questions concerning filed and scheduled pleadings

NOTICE
The following safety precautions will be followed on Court Days:
- All Litigants and Criminal Defendants are to remain in their vehicles. A member of the Court staff will be available to give further instructions.
- Only Parties and Attorneys will be allowed into the Courthouse. Please do not bring your children with you to Court.
- Masks are required and should completely cover your mouth and nose AT ALL TIMES.
*DO NOT come to Court if you have recently tested positive for Covid-19 and should be observing quarantine, or if you have been exposed to someone who has recently tested positive.
*DO NOT come to Court if you are experiencing fever, shortness of breath, persistent coughing or any flu-like symptoms.
